Associate Director Enterprise Risk Management

The Role

Working as a key member of Risk and Compliance you will be responsible for ensuring group wide risks across Evans Dixon are appropriately assessed and managed. You will work closely with Line 1 and senior stakeholders to promote and enhance Evans Dixon’s culture of compliance and robust risk management framework. This key position provides ongoing risk and compliance advice to the group on a range of core and business facing Enterprise Risk Management areas but not limited to RCSA, Incident Analysis, Risk Appetite, Change Risk Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Roll out the new GRC tool across R&C initially and ultimately the business
  • Enhance and implement the risk self-assessment framework
  • Provide ongoing risk support and advice to key stakeholders across the business
  • Help embed a stronger risk culture by uplifting risk capability across the existing R&C and business teams by providing relevant training to staff across the group
  • Drive the risk change program across all business units
  • Ongoing review and improvement of risk policies and procedures
  • Centralise incident reporting and drive insightful analysis
  • Improve overall risk reporting to the board, risk committees and senior management

Key Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree of any discipline (preferably law, commerce and/or finance related)
  • At least 7+ years’ experience in Enterprise Risk Management within the financial services industry and previous experience in Wealth Management or Asset Management
  • Strong understanding of RCSA’s, Incident Management, GRC tools, Change Risk, Risk Appetite statements, Risk policies, Risk Management Frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability conducting risk self assessments and enhancing risk management frameworks in line with ISO 31000:2009 Risk Management Standard
  • Previous experience with Cyber Risk and Risk and Compliance transformations (desirable)
  • High level of initiative, resilience and sense of urgency to exercise sound judgement to resolve matters in a timely manner, both individually and in a team environment
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
